Logo Design Contest for Samagra Shiksha
The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development is responsible for formulation of national policies and programmes for the development and regulation of the School Education sector in the country. In keeping with the commitment of provision of ‘Sabko Shiksha Achchi Shiksha’ the Department has launched, the ‘Samagra Shiksha’ – an overarching programme for the school education sector extending from pre-school to class 12 has been, therefore, prepared with the broader goal of improving school effectiveness measured in terms of equal opportunities for schooling and equitable learning outcomes. It subsumes the three Schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE) and extending support to States and UTs from pre-school to senior secondary levels for the first time.
The Scheme is a paradigm shift in the conceptual design of school education by treating ‘school’ holistically as a continuum from pre-school, primary, upper primary, secondary and senior secondary levels. It focuses on improving quality of education at all levels by integrating the two T’s – Teachers and Technology.
The Department invites entries for the creation of a logo for the Scheme of Samagra Shiksha which signifies a holistic approach for holistic development of children.
Last date of submission is 23th June, 2018
